About Union Church

As a United Methodist congregation, we emphasize God's grace, forgiveness, and spiritual transformation.

Currently our Sunday worship offers a service of Celebration (contemporary style worship) from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and a traditional style service from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

Sunday School is held concurrently with the Celebration service (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.).  We offer classes for children from the ages of three through six grades, with a nursery and a teens class in the making.  Classes use developmental appropriate curriculum.

We invite you to visit Union Church and to become a part of a community striving to continue to grow and reach out in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ..

UUMC Installs Assistive Listening System!

ST300 SR50

Many hearing impaired persons use hearing aids effectively in most situations, but hearing aids may be inadequate in classrooms, meetings, theatres, places of worship, or any other places where a large number of people gather. Hearing aids magnify all sounds; the voice of the speaker, teacher, or performer must compete with all the background noises, echo, and, distance factor.
Assistive listening devices provide hard of hearing individuals with clear sound over long distances, or amidst distracting background noise, echoes, and poor acoustics. Union’s assistive listening system transmits sound as directly as possible to the listener utilizing wireless FM radio transmitters.

Union Preschool News

After many years of service and dedication
Ms. Betty Ballas has decided to retire
as head of Union Preschool. For 13
years she has supported the Preschool
and helped it to grow to what it is today.
Ms. Betty began as a teacher in 1996
and will leave us having served also as
director, registrar and board president.
As you can see it will take many to fill the
shoes of one. We are sad to see her go
but wish her the best as she begins this
next chapter of her life. Thank you Ms.
Betty for all you have done for Union
Preschool!

Blood pressure screening

Blood pressure screening will be offered following service the 2nd Sunday of every month.

Cherub.choir

Dear Church family and friends,
Following the Cherub Choir’s final performance
for the school year, which was on
May 31st, I would like to take a moment to
thank the great number of you who were
such strong supporters this year. We have
appreciated your applause, your smiles,
your words of encouragement and the
many notes and emails filled with words of
praise. Your love and appreciation for the
children have not gone unnoticed. This
experience has been very fulfilling for
those of us involved with the choir and the
fun and joy that the children have found
singing praises to the Lord are immeasurable.
The children will be participating in the Vacation
Bible School program in June and
then taking a summer vacation for July and
August. However, please expect to see
them back in September reminding us that
we are to “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the
earth . . . come before him with joyful
songs.” (Psalm 100: 1-2)
Again, thank you for your support. It has
been an exciting year!
Emily Phillips
